Scan the QR code, register, and start tasting. Rate each coffee by the number on the bag – you can give it a score and add your own tasting notes.
As you go, we’ll also ask you to compare the coffees head-to-head. Which did you prefer – the one you just tasted or your current favourite? Step by step, you’ll work your way towards your winner.
Once you’ve tasted and rated all seven coffees, you can reveal the results and discover which coffee was hiding behind each number.
What’s in the set?
- 7 different Brant Coffee specialty coffees;
- 60 g of coffee beans in each bag;
- 420 g of coffee in total;
- to make things a little more interesting, one of the seven coffees is decaf;
- numbered tasting bags from 1 to 7;
- instructions and a QR code giving you access to the blind tasting.
All coffees are freshly roasted at the Brant Coffee roastery.
Why taste coffee blind?
When choosing coffee, we often already have an idea of what to expect. The country of origin, roast level and information on the bag all give us clues about what we should be looking for in the cup.
With a blind tasting, those clues disappear.
What remains is the aroma, the flavour and your own judgement. It’s a chance to find your favourite without guesswork – and without having to commit to a full-size bag first.
Maybe the winner will be the coffee you would have chosen anyway. Or it might be one you would normally have passed by.
